Asseco Poland to be listed on NASDAQ?

The IT company Asseco Poland wants to enter the NASDAQ to reach U.S.investors, as Parkiet reported. If this happens, Asseco Poland would be the second company of the Asseco group floated in the US. The first one, also present on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, is Formula Systems, which is to change its name to Asseco Systems.

After the first three quarters of 2010, Asseco Poland made a PLN 315m (Ђ78.9m) net profit. In the previous year the company made PLN 373m (Ђ93.5m), of which nearly PLN 100m (Ђ25.1m) was achieved in the last quarter. In 2010, Asseco Poland made large investments, such as the acquisition of Formula Systems, restructuring the company’s German and Spanish subsidiaries and completing a contract for the construction of a major IT system for PKO BP.

Asseco Group plans to continue growth through acquisitions, which are already being discussed with companies from Western Europe and Poland. The company plans to make an offer to purchase the COIG company.
