Unicorn Systems has finished the Damas deployment for Romanian Transmission System Operator, Transelectrica.

Damas now supports, besides the cross-border trading, the evidence of bilateral trades in Romania, transparent purchase of ancillary services and balancing energy on the balancing market. Damas also provides an evaluation of imbalances and transaction clearing and settlement in the whole electricity market. The complete transition to operation was now successfully completed.

“It was crucial for us to succeed in this more than 2 mil EUR project as it brought the extent of Damas operation farther to the East. We are convinced that our services will satisfy all requirements of Transelectrica’s users and partners,” added Jiří Mráz, Managing Director of Unicorn Systems.

Damas system replaced a number of disparate legacy applications. It significantly contributes to greater stability and efficiency of the Romanian electricity market and transmission system. It provides hundreds of reports to better inform energy market participants and the regulator, and it is also fully compliant with local legislation as well as EU legislation.
