Comarch has won recognition from Informa for the Best OSS Transformation Project in the region. The award was presented at the BSS/OSS Latin America 2016 conference.

The title was awarded to Comarch, based on the company’s extensive cooperation within the Telefónica Group in the Latin American countries.

In 2014, Telefónica Global announced Comarch as the official vendor of Configuration Management and Network Planning & Design solutions for Latin America and Germany, and of Network Planning & Service Fulfillment systems for the Telefónica Group in Europe.

Telefónica re-uses Comarch OSS solutions and business processes across its multiple locations to speed up OSS transformations and benefit from group synergies.

The project’s main goal is to optimize network investments and to bring the Telefónica Group real cost savings (both CAPEX and OPEX), thanks to improved utilization and optimization of transmission resources, as well as unification of software, hardware and OSS-related business processes in the region.

The Comarch Next Generation Network Planning project spans five countries in South America, helping to modernize Telefónica’s networksand transform the operation of various transport network technologies.

The solution focuses on inventory centralization, auto-discovery and reconciliation, as well as configuration management and planning of Telefónica’s network in the region.
