#defineCluj is a project initiated by an association of students from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, aiming to encourage students and young graduates to develop innovative projects in the field of ITC.

Focused on entrepreneurship, #defineCluj aims to bring closer together the two main actors – companies and educational institutions – in a dialogue with students.

The first edition of the #defineCluj conference took place on the 14th of November and consisted of several presentations and a round table debate on the topic of education as a launchpad for transforming Cluj into a genuine IT creation center.

As partner of #defineCluj, Fortech supported the conference. Calin Vaduva, Fortech CEO and cofounder, acted as one of the speakers invited to share from their entrepreneurial experiences. Calin spoke about entrepreneurship as an approach or attitude, rather than just owning a business and he shared from his journey of building Fortech as one of largest IT outsourcing companies in Cluj-Napoca and Romania.

Prior to the event, Calin Vaduva said: “#defineCluj is a brave, but also welcomed project for the local community, for students and also for software companies and universities. I am looking forward to meet at the event as many future professionals and entrepreneurs as possible and share interesting opinions on what has been, what is and what will potentially be the future of IT in Cluj-Napoca.”
