ISG Provider Lens Positions GBS, a BULPROS Company, as Leader in Data Leakage Prevention

For the second year in a row, the ISG Provider Lens study “Cyber Security Solutions & Services 2018” rated GBS, a BULPROS company, as one of the top providers of data leakage prevention solutions. This award confirms last year’s success, when GBS climbed up to a “Leader” position in the magic quadrant after it had been positioned as a “Rising star” in 2016 and 2015.

The study, which evaluates more than 80 of the most important providers on the German market in nine categories, says: “To account for changing business collaboration, GBS has advanced their competences to go beyond email security; for instance, the provider, as a member of the BULPROS Group, can provide the expertise required to secure collaboration environments and applications”.

In this current study, GBS convinced the jury with the solution iQ.Suite DLP, which makes it possible to identify sensitive information in emails and attachments, to detect behavior anomalies in email transmission and to block suspicious emails before they are sent. The ISG analysts were impresses by the special feature allowing 4-eyes reviews of certain emails, which have been identified at an earlier stage. A predefined person, such as the respective supervisor or the data protection officer for example, checks the email before it is released for final transmission.

“The use of digital technologies poses a serious challenge to businesses, as they have to ensure highest level of data security. Today companies are constantly threatened by hackers and exposed to daily attacks by crypto trojans, phishing emails and data theft. Therefore, the protection of sensitive information has become a high priority and the use of professional security solutions has become a must-have.” commented Ivaylo Slavov, CEO of BULPROS and Managing Director of GBS Europa GmbH.

The question of data protection and in particular processing of personal data, has recently gained much more importance in the context of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into force in May this year. “More than ever before, companies of all sizes are now required to ensure that personal data is identified and protected, and that there is control over data transfers. iQ.Suite DLP provides detailed reporting on security incidents, enabling companies to report data breaches under the GDPR in a timely manner, thus complying with the increased legal requirements,” summarizes Robert Becker, Product Manager Security & Collaboration at GBS Europa GmbH.
