IBA Group at СNews FORUM 2012

On November 8, IBA Minsk and IBA Rus, members of IBA Group, participated in the CNews FORUM 2012, the largest IT event of 2012 in Russia.

The goal of the CNews FORUM was to provide an independent platform for businesses, IT providers, and government institutions interested to discuss key issues of the ICT (information and communication technologies) market, innovative technologies, approaches to the implementation of IT projects, and the latest trends and developments in ICT. The motto of the CNews FORUM 2012 was ‘Innovative Technologies Tomorrow’.

Directors of ICT companies from CIS countries and representatives of state governing authorities of the Russian Federation appeared before the audience at the opening plenary meeting. Afterwards, a number of panel discussions were held, namely State Sector, Banks, Security, Retail, Cloud Technologies, and Mobile Business.

The forum gathered a record number of attendees (almost 1,500), the number of reports and exhibition stands being also the highest in the event’s history. In addition to IT directors and industry experts, the forum attracted heads of financial, industrial, and transport companies, as well as key public figures.

Aliaksandr Trukhan, an expert of the Information Systems Division at IBA Minsk, made a presentation entitled Automation of Business Processes at Retail Company, focusing on a distributed electronic document interchange (EDI) system based on FileNet. The system automates workflow business processes, enabling different company divisions to work in a unified information space and to manage document flow between a company and its contractors.

At its stand, IBA Group presented IBA’s offerings for Russian consumers and held talks with potential customers. Sergei Akoulich, Vice President at IBA Group, led the IBA Group’s delegation at the CNews FORUM 2012 and gave an interview to CNews.
