On July 9, 2014, IBA Group participated in the annual award ceremony Person of Business held in Minsk, Belarus as a partner of the event.

The awards were established by the first Belarusian business magazine DELO (Business) 19 years ago to honor the most successful owners and top managers of the companies based in Belarus. Since then, more than 200 leaders and managers gained the awards.

Sergei Levteev, IBA Group Chairman, said:

“In 2013-2014, IBA Group in cooperation with the Minsk public transport organization Minsktrans and Belarus-based software developers implemented a significant project in the B2C sector, namely a system of automatic fare collection in public transport. The system has been functioning since April of this year in the Minsk public transport.”

Levteev added that

“IBA is currently implementing another large-scale project in Belarus. It deals with the creation of an information management system at Gazprom Transgaz Belarus, a GAZPROM affiliate. It is one of the first projects in the CIS with the use of SAP HANA. The system integrates 20 offices located in different regions of Belarus and abroad. After the project’s completion scheduled for the end of 2014, the customer will be able to speed up the generation of analytical reports by hundreds of times. The system will also provide real time support to the business and consequently improve the manageability of financial results and effectiveness of production.”

Levteev also went on to say:

“I believe that in late 2014 or early 2015, we will launch new projects in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).  While the legal issues of EDI are discussed in Belarus, IBA is already working on the EDI solutions designed to run not only inside the country, but also within and beyond the Eurasian Economic Union.”

Levteev, a winner of the Person of Business 2002, highly appreciated the contest, saying that it encourages healthy competition and entrepreneurship in the country.

Leonid Bokun, IBA Group Board Member, took part in the ceremony Person of Business 2014. On behalf of IBA Group, he congratulated Andrey Goryainov, Director General of SAP CIS in Belarus, and Maxim Hvedchenya, Director of YUKOLA-INFO-Brest. They were selected the winners in the categories High Standards of a Foreign Brand in the Domestic Market, and High Quality Business Services in Information Technologies, respectively.
