Internet of Things (IoT) service will be launched in Estonia

Elisa is launching an Internet of Things (IoT) service in Finland and Estonia.

Elisa IoT offers an easy, fast and secure platform that enables companies of different types to move to the era of the Internet of Things.

Elisa IoT software development utilises among other things the codeless tools of IoT platform supplier ThingWorx.

It enables the creation of applications and services quickly without the traditional software development process.

Elisa IoT is a cloud-based open platform that offers tools for rapid software development, data storage and visualisation.

Timo Katajisto, executive vice president for corporate customers, said that one of the most important values of the IoT is that real-time information can be mined out of the data of networked devices to be used in the management of business operations or product development.

Elisa IoT enables networked devices to be set up, applications utilising them and entire business operations without a large-scale and long-term IT product development process.

All the data is stored in Finland at Elisa’s own data centres. The service package also includes ensuring data security and round-the-clock monitoring.
