10,000 students from Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Estonia, Belarus, Lithuania took part in the International IT-Cup “Golden Byte”! The participants’ projects were evaluated by 230 representatives of the largest IT- companies. Some of the presented projects have the potential to change the technological history of the world and become the next “unicorns”.
“Golden Byte” is supported by the leading companies such as: InterSystems, Intel, Dell, Microsoft, Wolf, Logitech, Stearling Studio. The organizer of the IT-Cup “Golden Byte” is an International Computer Academy STEP.
International IT Cup “Golden Byte 2016” – is a platform of start-up industry that helps to find a new brilliant ideas and talents. The main purpose is to encourage young professionals to innovate and create new business ideas, to help investors and venture funds in searching of strong projects that reveal the potential of Ukraine in the field of IT in the international perspective.
”Golden Byte 2016” is the place where young IT-specialists can get an expert opinion of the best IT-specialists, make contacts, and to attract investment for the further development of the project.
For selecting of the final projects have been invited well recognized gurus of IT industry in Ukraine: Alexander Olshansky (President of the “Internet Invest”), Margarita Ostapchuk (information technology specialist, Microsoft Ukraine), Denis Pasechnik (Technology Evangelist of Microsoft Ukraine), Yuriy Mykolishin (marketing director of Intel Ukraine), Alexander Olenev (manager of the educational and maker programs, Intel Ukraine), Yevgeny Demchenko (team leader, web-designer, 1 + 1 media), Alex Smehov (creative director of SPN Communications Ukraine), Andrey Milinevsky (Director of Digital transformation, Kyivstar), Alexander Popov (co-founder and managing partner, Terrasoft) and many others.
At the international final have been presented such projects as:
The project of the students from Lutsk was recognized as the best startup! Which was designed for agricultural sector – an innovative approach to the cultivation of crops with the help of modern technology – MAGS, the new technology will help companies to increase the yield and significantly increase their revenues.
The organizer of the Championship is STEP IT Academy. It is supported by the Ministry of Education of Ukraine and Kyiv City State Administration. The partners are InterSystems, Intel, Dell, Microsoft, Wolf, Logitech, Stearling Studio and other leaders of IT industry.
Participants had the opportunity to realize their ideas and start a successful career, as many finalists received offers for internship and work in the best IT-companies and creative agencies, and the most interesting projects – grants for the development. All these opportunities became possible by a large-scale support of the IT-Cup “Golden Byte” from international IT – companies.
