Method Joins GlobalLogic

GlobalLogic, a leader in software R&D services, today announced that it has acquired Method, a global design and innovation consultancy headquartered in San Francisco, with offices in London and New York.

Expanding its capabilities to include world-class design for end-user experiences, GlobalLogic now supports the complete lifecycle of R&D services – from ideation through delivery. The acquisition enables GlobalLogic to better serve clients in major growth markets including social media, mobile commerce, IPTV, medical devices, and tablet computing.

Method solves business challenges through design thinking and creates inspired products, services and brand experiences that engage customers. The award-winning agency is widely recognized for its focus on a user-centric approach to design, creating great customer experiences across all touch points of a brand and throughout the customer lifecycle. Method’s clients are best described as progressive, era-defining brands, including Google, Nissan, Samsung, Nokia, Microsoft, Time Warner Cable, Nordstrom, TED, the BBC, and many others.

“Our clients view the integration of user experience design into R&D outcomes as a critical success factor for many of their products,”

said Peter Harrison, CEO, GlobalLogic.

“Apple has raised the bar across all market segments – customers now expect advanced technology and design elegance in the same package. By adding Method’s strong experience design and innovation capabilities to our core technology R&D offering, GlobalLogic is strongly positioned to help clients bring innovation to their customers.”

“Method has been working closely with Nokia Retail to create a new family of digital touchpoints for our retail locations,”

commented Felipe

Del Corral, Head of Digital Retail, Worldwide at Nokia. “Our joint efforts have led to a series of innovative new user experiences which we are currently building for global deployment. Now, with GlobalLogic engaged, we can maintain the creative vision through every stage as we go to market, ensuring that the technology fully delivers on the experience as intended. It’s truly a unique offering that takes us from blue sky thinking to market deployment, with one design and technology partner alongside us every step of the way.”

“For Method, joining forces with GlobalLogic is a natural step for us to continue to innovate and deliver complete solutions to our clients,” said Kevin Farnham, CEO of Method. “GlobalLogic shares many of the same values that have contributed to Method’s success. We see this as a great fit for our team and our clients.”

Method will become a new business unit within GlobalLogic and will continue to operate under the Method name. Method founder and CEO Kevin Farnham will report to GlobalLogic president Shashank Samant. The acquisition of Method is the second by GlobalLogic in four months. In May 2011, the firm announced that it had acquired Rofous, a product and content engineering company of 1,500 people principally located in Hyderabad, India.
