RosEvroBank’s New Data Center Goes Live

Asteros successfully delivered a challenging project to deploy a fail-safe Data Center in limited space without disruption to existing data center and bank’s office in general.

Asteros installed new high-density server racks in the area dedicated for the new Data Center. An efficient air conditioning system using APC by Schneider Electric equipment with HACS (Hot Aisle Containment System) technology ensures optimal environmental conditions in the Data Center, while guaranteed uninterruptible power supply systems support undisrupted work of IT and engineering equipment. All core components of engineering infrastructure were installed with N+1 redundancy, and APC Netbotz appliance provides environmental monitoring. The new data center uses a Structured Cabling System based on Systimax switches and an automatic gaseous fire suppression system protecting data center rooms and UPS systems.

“Uninterrupted work of the bank requires resilient, integrated and centralized system that can store and quickly process massive amounts of data. This is why the new Data Center was a critical business project for us. We were looking for a supplier capable of designing and implementing a turnkey data center solution. Asteros successfully completed this task without causing any disruption to our ongoing work. Our engineering infrastructure is as reliable as clockwork now,” explains Roman Smirnov, Project Manager, RosEvroBank.

“The bank didn’t stop working for a minute throughout the whole duration of new data center infrastructure deployment project. All core and supporting business applications used in the bank were operational at all times. Therefore, our experts were as careful as deminers when launching newly installed equipment and balancing server loads. The newly launched Data Center is much easier in operation because it was designed as a single integrated solution, and it is maintained by a single service provider. With 30 % surplus capacity, the new Data Center will not require any upgrades for the next 5–7 years,” says Sergey Kryukov, Head of Finance Industry Solutions Department, Asteros.
