Sigma Ukraine participates in AppForum 2013 on November 5-7 in Berlin

Dmytro Lapshyn, Sigma Ukraine CTO, will be one of the speakers at AppForum 2013 in Berlin where he will present the MS Visual Studio extension, developed by Sigma Ukraine.

AppForum is an annual event, organized by Motorola Solutions, that aims to gather mobile developers and solution architects from all over the Europe to participate in a whole set of detailed breakout sessions, hands-on labs, a product fair, and to network with colleagues and Motorola experts. Dmytro Lapshyn will be one of the speakers and will do an overview of the solution Sigma Ukraine was involved into as the main development partner of Motorola. The project deals with making extensions for Visual Studio for RhoMobile Suite.

“Last year at AppForum 2012 Motorola Solutions has unveiled RhoMobile Suite, a perfect set of development tools that works across variety of platforms. At Sigma Ukraine we worked on Microsoft Visual Studio extension for the product, engaging more developers in usage of the RhoMobile,” says Dmytro Lapshyn.

Sigma Ukraine started collaboration with Motorola Solutions in April 2013. RhoMobile Suite Visual Studio (VS) Extension enables to develop cross-platform apps directly in the familiar VS2012 and VS2008 environments. Current version of the extension can build Windows Phone 8, Android, WinCE and Win32 apps (you still can build other targets from a command line). The project has open source code, and can be reviewed or downloaded at https://github.com/rhomobile/vsplugin.

“Our Microsoft .NET competence covers a wide range of solution types. Earlier we’ve delivered XAML controls supporting MS Visual Studio for one of the largest US telecom companies, now we’ve helped Motorola Solutions with VS extension for their flagship application,” says Artem Petrenko, Business Development Manager at Sigma Ukraine. “This project was very important for us. The US is one of our target markets, and we are very glad to expand Sigma Ukraine expertise and experience there, helping our customers to reach their business goals worldwide.”
