Softengi Has Launched a New Phase of Cooperation with JSC “Bank of Georgia”

In June 2013, one of the leading IT outsourcing companies in Ukraine, Softengi, has officially launched a new project as a new phase of cooperation with JSC “Bank of Georgia”.

The new project of JSC “Bank of Georgia” involves performance improvement and optimization of the existing credit issuing system.

Previously, Softengi Company has completed the first stage of the productive cooperation with JSC “Bank of Georgia”. The first project was to improve the functionality of the credit issuing system with its further transfer at the Microsoft SharePoint 2010 platform. During the project there has been completely redesigned the system architecture, with total saving of the current bank system, developed on the basis of MS Office SharePoint Server 2007. A distinctive feature of this project, which lasted for more than one year, was the absence of Georgian language package for MS SharePoint. However, despite these difficulties, Softengi’s specialists managed to localize the system for the Georgian user interface.

Planned improvements and optimization of the existing system performance will allow JSC “Bank of Georgia” to issue credits even better and serve customers more quickly, as well as improve the functionality of the bank’s business processes between groups of processes’ participants.

Olga Lomakina, Microsoft SharePoint Projects Manager in Softengi: “In continuation of the fruitful cooperation started with JSC “Bank of Georgia” in 2010, we started a new project in which we continue to optimize the credit issuing system to improve its performance. As a result of the project’s goal there will be reduced the time to work with documents, thus will be increased the speed and efficiency of processes.”

For Softengi company the optimization of credit issuing in JSC “Bank of Georgia” will be the second major project in Georgia since the opening of Softengi’s representative office in the country in 2012. The opening of the Georgian representativeness in Tbilisi made Softengi the first Ukrainian IT outsourcing company in Georgia, which is widely known country for its active policy of information technologies integration not only in business, but also at the governmental level.
