Xoomworks Procurement has provided a Transaction Desk service to a leading British multinational insurance organisation for its low risk lower spend suppliers and has already handled up to £12m of procurement spend in just six months.
Operating out of Xoomworks’ centre of excellent in Cluj-Romania, the service provides remote support for anyone within the insurance group who needs assistance in following the procurement processes for low risk or low spend suppliers.
The service is resourced to cover two main functions. The Core Service Team provides support for signing low risk, low spend supplier contracts. Secondly the Service Team Lead acts as the day-to-day contact point, handling any escalated issues and running regular scheduled calls.
Ian Dagg, Managing Director Xoomworks Procurement highlights, “Nearly £12m of procurement spend has been handled by our Transaction Desk since the service began six months ago. Not only has the Transaction Desk ensured that an increased volume of spend is following a procurement process but it has also freed up time to enable our client to focus on strategic projects where it can really add business value rather than being distracted by the volume of low risk items that are going through the self-service process.”
