Hungarian R&D Institute Inks Contract with Russia’s Nexis

A Hungarian R&D institute, the Bay Zoltan Applied Research Foundation, revealed the contract it signed in October 2010 with Nexis to provide the Russian company with a new type of metal foam. The Russian partner will be using the new technology to make acoustic elements.

The Bay Zoltan Foundation has been conducting research into the qualities of metal foams since 2006. The contract with Nexis is thought to be the first step towards long-term cooperation with the Russian company – the institute may also be commissioned to develop next-generation nanotechnology products in the future.
