The State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus announced the results of the contest The Best Quality Manager. Zinaida Larionova, IBA Quality Director, was named among the winners of The Best Quality Manager 2011.

Since 2006, the contest The Best Quality Manager has been conducted annually within the Belarusian State Quality Program. The competition is aimed at recognizing excellence in quality and system management, raising competitive edge of Belarusian products and services, and promoting implementation of quality management systems in Belarusian companies.

The contest is conducted among quality management experts of Belarusian companies who achieved significant results in the quality assurance area and are employed by the company for more than three years. In addition, the quality management system of competing company must be certified to the appropriate standards. A QA expert may participate in the contest once triennially.

The competitors in The Best Quality Manager 2011 were assessed based on the following criteria:

Performance results of the company’s quality management system

Personal contribution of the contestant to the development, implementation, and enhancement of the system
Scientific work and practical activity of the participant in the area of quality and system management, including his/her participation in international and /or national technical committees for standardization.
To provide clients with the best possible services and solutions, IBA has designed and implemented its Quality and Labor Management Systems that comply with the latest international standards. In 1999, 2002, 2005, and 2010 IBA received awards from the Belarusian Government for achievements in quality assurance. In 2010, Sergei Levteev, IBA CEO, was awarded the breastplate “Quality Leader” for his personal contribution to quality achievements and system management.

On February 15, the award ceremony to honor the winners of The Best Quality Manager 2011 will be held in Minsk, Belarus.
