Sirma Media and Intel Presented the Intel Teach Program at the 7th National E-education Conference

Multimedia publisher Sirma Media, which is part of Sirma Group Holding, and Intel® presented the Intel® Teach program at the 7th National E-education Conference “E-education – a Real Experience Through Innovations”. The event was took place on November 17 at Hotel Sheraton in Sofia under the patronage of Bulgaria’s Minister of education, youth, and science prof. Sergey Ignatov, and the organizer was ICT Media.

The two companies were official partners of the conference, and Adrian Cioroianu, Business Development Manager with Intel for Romania and Bulgaria, as well as Ilian Uzunov, CEO of Sirma Media, held a lecture called “Intel TEACH in Bulgarisa – Professional Qualification for Teachers in Support of the Development of the 21 Century Skills“. They both presented the Intel Teach program, which during its 11-year existence has trained 10 million teachers all over the world. It is focused on teacher’s professional development and offers very interesting, visually engaging electronic courses which lead deeper into the education conceptions of the 21st century.

Let us remind you that on November 9, 2011, a Memorandum of understanding was signed between Intel and the Ministry of education, youth, and science, which includes the implementation of Intel Teach courses in the educational system of Bulgaria and the training of more than 11,000 teachers from all over the country.
Sirma Media has been cooperating with Intel in the education sphere in Bulgaria since 2009, when a pilot project was realized for the equipment of a class room with the Classmate PC mobile solution. In 2011, Sirma Media gained the statute of Regional training agency for Intel Teach.
