A two-day seminar ”Increasing Business Effectiveness of IT Companies through Risk Management and Certification Standards“ from the experts of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development took off today at the Hi-Tech Park.

The event is funded through Eastern Partnership framework of the European Union under the auspices of HTP Administration.

The seminar is aimed at small and medium size enterprises that either are going or already exporting their services to foreign markets, or are preparing to expand their operations overseas.

More than 30 representatives of HTP resident-companies and Infopark Association members will learn modern practices of risk management and quality assurance, as well as benefits of obtaining CMMI and ISO 27001 certification standards – the main certification standards in IT-industry.

EBRD experts will also present the Enterprise Growth Programme (EGP) and Business Advisory Services (BAS). The director of a Minsk software company which participated in EGP will share his opinion on the effectiveness of the Programme.

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development first introduced the Enterprise Growth Programme in 1993. During its implementation more than 1,500 projects were realized through attracting over 97 mln EUR of donor financing.
85% of realized projects were estimated as successful and very successful. The evaluation was based upon general factors such as increase of productiveness and turnover, sustainable activity, business planning, etc.
