As many as 15 Romanian companies participate in CeBIT 2009 software fair

As many as 15 providers of information technology services and developers of software solutions from Romania are going to participate in the 2009 edition of the IT fair in Hanover – CeBIT, to represent the national stand of Romania to be titled romaniaIT, reads a release of the Employers Association in the Software and Services Industry – ANIS. The Romanian companies are going to present at the CeBIT applications of integrated management and outsourcing services in the field of programming, web design and development.

‘The Romanian IT industry offers innovating services and software products, with Romania continuing to be considered a top high-tech location,’ Valerica Dragomir, executive manager with ANIS said. The information technology sector in Romania has developed in a constant manner in the latest years and continues to stay attractive for Western partners and investors, says ANIS. The Romanian companies offer software solutions and information technology services for a wild range of sectors and business processes.

Vertical solutions, and also horizontal technologies are to be presented at this year’s edition of CeBIT to the 15 exhibitors at the romaniaIT national stand. The Romanian software and services companies will present such applications to increase the efficiency in the various economic sectors – from the tourist services and HoReCa industry to the banking and financial services industry.

The client relationship management solutions (CRM) and the complete business management software (ERP) for small and medium-sized companies, applications for self-assessed learning (eLearning) and electronic commerce are also represented. Romania will participate for the 8th time with a national stand at CeBIT.

This participation will be financed and supported by the Ministry of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, Trade and Business Environment (MIMMCMA), the Romanian Centre for Promotion of Trade and the Employers Union in the Software and Services Industry (ANIS), in cooperation with the German Society for Technical Cooperation (GTZ). romaniaIT is an initiative launched back in 2006 by both public and private partners.

Its members are ministries, public institutions, professional and business associations and companies operating in the information technology field. RomaniaIT aims at promoting Romania and the national information technology industry on the foreign market, as a favourite location for partnerships and investments. The romaniaIT brand was launched on the international level in March 2007 at the CeBIT. The Romanian companies participated under this national brand in more than 15 international events – fairs, exhibitions and bilateral economic events.
