Business Strategies for the New IT Landscape

The intersection of three business mega-trends now reshaping the IT landscape – cloud computing, social media and mobility – will be the core focus of CIO magazine’s 8th annual Year Ahead Summit. Through its peer workshops, expert presentations and compelling panel discussions, this exclusive event brings together senior IT leaders from around the nation for three days of conversation, communication and connection on the most critical issues facing CIOs in 2011. Sessions include:

  • “Transforming Competitive Advantage with Social Media,” with Francois Gossieaux, author of “The HyperSocial Organization.”
  • “How to lead a Switch (and Manage Change),” with Dan Heath, best-selling author of “Switch” and “Made to Stick”
  • “Up, Up and Away: The Elevator Cloud Pitch Contest,” with five specially selected vendors who each get 5 minutes to deliver their cloud pitch, followed by a lightning round of audience Q&A.
  • “Work Your Strengths: Getting the Right Brains into the Right Seats,” an interactive leadership workshop on executive skills led by CEO Chuck Martin, author of “Work Your Strengths”

The CIO Year Ahead Summit is also the place to meet and connect with the newest members of the CIO Hall of Fame, which now includes 50 of the most respected CIOs in the nation, representing companies such as Bechtel Corp., DuPont, Humana, Pacific Gas & Electric, UPS and many more.

Attend CIO magazine’s 8th  annual summit for a deep-dive into both the tactical and strategic execution of the best ideas in business for the year ahead. Attendees will exchange ideas on everything from infrastructure consolidation and virtualization to finding fresh competitive advantage through cloud computing services, social media applications and ubiquitous mobility of people and data.
