Accenture Honored as One of the “Best Corporate Citizens” in Government Contracting

The nation’s leading independent voice on corporate citizenship has selected Accenture (NYSE: ACN) as one of the top government suppliers.  Corporate Responsibility magazine ranked Accenture second on the list of “the Best Corporate Citizens in Government Contracting,” acknowledging the company’s role in embracing social responsibility and transparency when working with government agencies.

The companies listed aremeasured against 324 different elements in seven weighted categories:  climate change, employee relations, environment, financial, governance, human rights and philanthropy.

“Corporate citizenship is fundamental to the way we run our business,” said Stephen J. Rohleder, group chief executive for Accenture’s Health & Public Service practice. “It is anchored in our core values and reflected in the actions of our people, who meet the highest standards when serving clients. We are honored to have ranked so high on this list.”

The magazine ranked 48 contracting and consulting companies regularly doing business with the U.S. government.
