Affecto will deliver an it solution to Lithuanian Ministry of Education to improve processes of education institutions

The IT solution provider Affecto has agreed to deliver an IT solution to the Lithuanian Ministry of Education and Science to improve the processes of education institutions. The solution (Lithuanian Higher Education and Research Information System, LieMSIS) will enable the higher education institutions in Lithuania to improve their management processes and to enhance their internet service offering.

The solution will be based on Oracle technologies, mainly on Oracle e-Business Suite and Peoplesoft Enterprise. The system scope will cover ERP functionalities, such as financial management, HR and payroll management and student administration functions. The employees and students at higher education and research institutions in Lithuania will be using the system.

The total value of the project is estimated to be over 3 million euros, of which the services will be over 2 million and third-party licenses over 1 million. The licenses will be booked to Affecto’s 2007 net sales and the project services will be included in the order backlog at end of 2007. The project will last until 2010 and will employ 10-20 Affecto professionals during that time.
