ARMADA ranks among Russia’s top-10 IT developers

ARMADA OJSC (MICEX, RTS: ARMD) has made it to the top-10 Russian IT developers in accordance with the rating of CNews.1 The top-10 also includes Kaspersky Lab, 1C, Abbyy and other software developers. The companies are rated according to their revenue from sale of own products in 2010.

The history of ARMADA dates back to the development of Internet software solutions in 1997.At a later time, this area was considerably expanded as the company began creating customized information and analytical systems, data integration projects, e-government, online public services solutions, etc. Building on the expertise in implemented solutions, the company has been developing its own product line and a service partner network, which introduces the company’s products in Russian regions (the network comprises over 150 companies to date).

In addition to organic growth, ARMADA pursues a strategy of acquiring companies which are complementary to its product line and are leaders in their software development and IT services segments. In 2006, ARMADA took over HeliosITSolutions, which develops industrial software-hardware complexes. In 2007, ARMADA integrated PMExpert, a leader in project management solutions, and ETC, which develops procurement software. In 2011, ARMADA acquired Post Modern Technology, a leader of the Russian market for healthcare software.
