Asseco Central Europe confirms its stable position

Asseco Slovakia Group, which operates in the markets of the Slovak and Czech Republics under the brand Asseco Central Europe, managed to achieve a stable economic performance despite the general deterioration in the economic environment. The consolidated revenues of the Group totalled EUR 137.3 million, which shows only a slight decrease compared with the previous year.

The mentioned decrease of 3.7% was mainly caused by a decrease in demand from the banking sector. The revenues of Asseco Slovakia nevertheless achieved a level of EUR 30.764 million. The turnover of Asseco Czech Republic, the member of Asseco CE, recorded 39.148 mil. EUR in 2009.

“In the context of the pessimistic forecasts from the beginning of the year on the impact of the economic crisis on the IT business, I see the slight decrease in our financial results as confirmation of our stable position in the market,” adds Jozef Klein, the President of Asseco CE and continues: “My belief is also based on the successes our company achieved this year. One of them was the winning of two major clients in the Czech Republic, the Wustenrot financial group and the Building Society of the Czech Savings Bank, thanks to which our solution is already being used by three of the five building societies in the Czech Republic. Another success was the purchase of 70.04% of shares in the Hungarian IT company Statlogics. Moreover, these days we managed to get 1st place in the category Quality products and services in the ranking of all companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, published by an influential Polish daily Puls Biznesu. Last but not least we received 3rd place for exceptional business results in non-economic entities in Slovakia in the prestigious competition Trend Top. ”

The consolidated revenues of the Group include revenues also from other companies from Asseco CE portfolio, more specifically Asseco Solutions (26.945 mil. EUR), Slovanet (31.766 mil. EUR), Uniquare (7.053 mil. EUR) and MPI Consulting (2.760 mil. EUR).
