In this year’s Annual Award for Outstanding Business Results held by the Trend weekly, Asseco Slovakia ranked third in the “Company of the Year 2009” category. Furthermore in the 2008 Best Annual Report competition, it ranked first in two categories – best print as well as electronic annual report of corporations.

On November 10th 2009, the Trend weekly held the 12th anniversary of the Annual Award for Outstanding Business Results. During the award ceremony in the new building of the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava, the three most successful companies out of 226 were awarded based on comparison of business results in the two previous years. Asseco Slovakia ranked third (following Eset and Xella Slovensko) in a strong competition of all companies operating in the Slovak market, i.e. financial as well as non-financial ones. The company achieved the bronze position this year thanks to highly dynamic increase in sales, value-added and profit, in particular. Compared to the last year, when company ranked fifth in this category, it moved up two positions and confirmed the success of its strategy.

“The bronze position is a great testimony to our efforts and activities so far, particularly as we competed with all Slovak companies regardless of the segment they operate in,” says Jozef Klein, Asseco Central Europe President and Asseco Slovakia CEO. “I perceive the award as a commitment to continue strengthening our position on the Central European market.”

Besides the third position in the category “Company of the Year 2009”, Asseco Slovakia scored in other categories announced in this prestigious event. It ranked first in the 2008 Best Annual Report competition in the categories of print annual reports as well as electronic annual reports of corporations.
