Asseco Slovakia sells back a majority share in Disig

Shareholders of Disig, a.s. have approved on their General Meeting, held on  August 20th, 2009, a repurchase of 51% majority share of the company. Consequently Asseco Slovakia, a.s. (as a majority shareholder) and minority shareholder of Disig, a.s. signed Contract of Sale of Shares. Original shareholder of Disig, a.s. has become its 100% owner again.

Jozef Klein, President of Asseco Central Europe and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asseco Slovakia explains: „In correspondence with strategic plans of Asseco Slovakia, that since July 1st, 2009 together with Asseco Czech Republic have constituted “Asseco Central Europe” Group, Asseco Slovakia reached an agreement with other Disig shareholders to sell back shares of Disig, in order to consolidate product portfolio of the Group. Our aim is to strengthen the position of the Group within the region of Central Europe by concentrating on our core business – development of IT services for commercial and public sectors.“

Disig provides a wide range of certification services for users of electronic signature, technical support and consulting services for enterprise security increase. The company also implements digital signature into company’s information systems and their processes. Asseco Slovakia became a majority owner of 51% share in Disig on October 26th, 2007 and sold its share back to the original shareholder on August 20th, 2009.

Asseco Slovakia is a key system integrator and supplier of complex IT solutions, technologies and services for financial institutions, government sector and commercial businesses. It has been operating on the Slovak market since 1990. In September 2006, Asseco Slovakia was listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, thus becoming the first Slovak company to be directly quoted on foreign stock exchange. The company is holder of “Ruban d?Honneur” title, obtained within prestigious European project “European Business Awards 2009” in the category of The Business of the Year, which makes it one of the most successful companies in Europe.
