Austrian IT Holding Company Acquires Majority

Austria’s New Frontier Holding has acquired a 51 pct stake in Hungarian software company Grepton Informatikai, business daily Vilaggazdasag reported on February 12th 2009.

Grepton CEO Istvan Juhasz declined to reveal the price of the transaction.

The acquisition is New Frontier’s fifth in the region. The company earlier bought stakes in the Czech Profinit, Romania’s Romsys, Slovakia’s Cogent, and XAPT, another Hungarian company.

With the purchase of the Grepton stake, New Frontier has added a well-connected, fullservice system integrations company to its portfolio.
