Bulgaria-based Sixty K Intl Contact Centre Plans to Quadruple Staff by 2011

Bulgaria-based independent international contact centre Sixty K said on Wednesday it plans to almost quadruple its staff to more than 1,000 people within two to three years, aiming to become the key IT outsourcing firm in the country.

“Growth plans include development of the business outside the country,” the company said in a statement without elaborating.

The centre employs 225 people, who are serving three key clients – global anti-virus software developer AVG Technologies, UK Internet provider Be Unlimited and Hotelopia, which sells hotel rooms to leisure and business travellers over the Internet.

Sixty K, which launched operations in June, claims to be the largest independent call centre in Bulgaria, having invested 1.25 million euro ($1.63 million) in the facility that offers a range of services in 17 languages.

The company competes with several call centres in European Union newcomer Bulgaria, including one owned by local Sofica Group, a Sony centre for eastern Europe, and the Global Delivery Centre of Hewlett-Packard.
