Bulgarian experts Daniela Sokolova, Quality Manager in Sofica Group and Adriana Popova, Marketing and Sales Director of AII Data Processing are among the initiators for establishment of International Standard for the outsourcing industry.

The first working meeting of experts in developing the criteria for the new standard is taking place on 16 and 17 June in Sofia. The choice of our capital to host the event recognizes the strategic role of Bulgaria in the global outsourcing industry.

Development of the standard and his name was proposed by the Dutch Committee for Standardization (NEN) – ISO: Guide to Outsourcing (ISO/PC259 – Outsourcing). The standard will include guidelines and best practices in outsourcing services, which will be applicable and useful for both service providers and all their partners.

“International standard is a guide to business process outsourcing, which covers the entire lifecycle and provides a description of the definitions, concepts and processes identified as good practice. It will clarify and unify the understanding of the parties with respect to terminology”, said Daniela Sokolova at the meeting.

The new standard is expected to identify uniform criteria to compare different providers of outsourcing services.

The workshop is attended by representatives of standardization institutes from India, Korea, Malaysia, Netherlands, Germany, Poland and etc.
