Capgemini opens outsourcing center in Iasi

Capgemini, one of the largest consultancy, technology and outsourcing services provider, announced it will expand its presence in Eastern Europe through the opening of a technological center in Iasi in order to meet an ever growing oursourc ing demand.

The new technological center in Iasi is to offer First Line IT Help Desk Support and Business Continuity activities for the clients of Capgemini Outsourcing, including management services of processes and technical assistance.

“Being one of the first international companies with Iasi based branch, Capgemini will have access to top local talents, we are going to develop through individual strategies under the form of strong teams and we will form specialists to be proud of due to our achievements in this region”, said Richard Dicketts, Global Head of Capgemini Press Release Infrastructure Management, Capgemini.

Capgemini official also said that the “opening of new outsourcing center in Romania points out the steady demand for such services despite the current economic climate, allowing Capgemini to aid its clients to grow, to innovate and to keep on a steady competitive advantage”.

As well, the company considered that Iasi, one of the largest university centers in Romania, offers human resources, skilled and well trained.

As well, the graduates’ linguistic capabilities, who can speak French, German, English, Italian and Spanish make Iasi the ideal location, which will allow Capgemini to meet its European clients demand for outsourcing services.

A year ago, the branch in Romania reported business in the value of 30 million euros resulted from joint projects with Austria. Capgemini is present in Romania since 2005.
