Comtrade’s close partner, Avantcar, won the startup challenge at eMobility Summit in Berlin.

The eMobility Summit held by Tagesspiegel publishing house has become a unique nationwide platform for an open and direct dialogue about the issue of electric mobility between top national and international decision makers from business, science and politics.

The summit welcomed distinguished keynote speakers such as Dieter Zetsche (CEO, Daimler AG), Matthias Wissmann (President of Automobile association in Germany) and Magda Kopczynska (Head of Directorate on Innovative & Sustainable Mobility in the European Commission).

This year, the focus was on successful examples of solutions for the breakthrough of electric mobility, roadmap for battery technology, autonomous driving and the achievements of federal governments in electric mobility so far.

In his pitch, Matej Čer, founder and co-owner of Avant car – a leading regional developer of electric mobility – presented the ChargeJuice (innovative application for electric vehicle charging) and our shared vision of a better world based on technology solutions that are available today.

Our vision is based primarily on two related concepts: Mobility as a Service (MaaS), which is looking to replace car ownership with shared vehicles, and the idea of using renewable energy to replace traditional fossil-based engines.

This vision was also strongly supported by the keynote speakers. They all agreed that electric vehicles – which are undisputedly moving in the right direction, albeit too slowly – may be boosted significantly by disruptive innovation and new business models built around Mobility as a Service.

Marko Javornik, VP/GM Automotive at Comtrade, who was also present at the summit, congratulated Mr. Čer for winning the startup challenge and expressed his happiness over the fact that our efforts are receiving positive feedback from the major players in the automotive industry as well as from policy makers, whose main role is to lower the emissions and promote sustainable mobility.
