Russian software developer Eastwind, together with the Cambodia-Vietnam-Laos Association for Economic Cooperation Development, held the international “Information Technologies in Telecommunications and Finance 2013” conference under the aegis of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce. The conference took place in Phnom Penh (the Kingdom of Cambodia).

The Russian Federation and the Kingdom of Cambodia are currently developing cooperation in the key fields of production and economics. One of the priority directions for partnership is the information technologies industry. The conference “Information Technologies in Telecommunications and Finance 2013” has become a new step in reinforcing the partnership between the Russian and the Cambodian IT businesses.

The conference gathered over 150 top managers of the Cambodian telecom companies and banks. Significant attention was paid to the event by the leadership of the country, which was attended by the Advisor to the Prime Minister of Cambodia, Mr. Seang Bun Leang; Deputy Secretary General of the National Bank of Cambodia, Mr. Kru Veasna; Deputy Director, Operation and Management Department SEZB (Special Economic Zone Board), Mr. Tan Bun Na; Secretary of State, Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, Dr. Kan Channmeta; Director General of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Nguon Meng Tech. The Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Kingdom of Cambodia was represented by Charge d` affaire a.i. Russian Federation in the Kingdom of Cambodia, Mr. Andrey Vladimirov.

At the conference, Eastwind presented its flagship products and innovative solutions for dynamic development of telecom and banking business. The key discussion topics at the press conference were the capabilities of the software solutions and perspectives of their use in various areas.

At the end of the conference, an official cooperation agreement was signed between Eastwind and the Cambodia-Vietnam-Laos Association for Economic Cooperation Development. The negotiations during the event and the established contacts will become a strong foundation for future cooperation between the Russian developer and Cambodian companies.
