EDB with strong growth in Ukraine and India

EDBs global organization, consisting of Infopulse and Miratech in Ukraine and Span in India, shows a continuous strong performance.

Business grew by 45% compared to 2007 and billable utilisation is still high at 84%. More than 100 new employees have joined the companies during the last three months. The three subsidiaries of EDB now have 1.375 employees.

New customers:

Our subsidiaries works partly direct for EDB, but most of their income comes from serving other companies and customers. Recently we have signed new contracts with very interesting customers. Span will deliver on-site development resources to Nokia in Finland, and also Infopulse have established interesting agreements with new customers.

Another source of growth is to expand the business with existing customers. During the last year Miratech in Ukraine has done excellent work. The delivery teams from Miratech have been working towards Genesys (homepage), where we have been able to expand the business.

Increased Business with EDB

The business with EDB is growing fast in both India and Ukraine. There are numerous EDB projects being initiated or ramped up:

  • SAP
  • EDB Mainframe operations
  • Oracle Application

are current focus areas in India, whereas ramping up IT Operation and Bank & Finance are the main focus areas in Ukraine. Close to 250 employees are now working on EDB projects in India and Ukraine and this number is expected to grow significantly.

Opportunities and challenges

Looking forward we also see opportunities and challenges. Customers all over the world are looking for cost reduction and increased flexibility in their cost bases due to the financial crisis and the uncertainty in the markets. Using global resources or increased use of global sourcing are good solutions to most customers. Combining EDB group size and solidity with the agility and competitiveness of Infopulse, Miratech and Span has proven to be a winning formula.
