Eleks Participates in International Software Development Summit in Saint Petersburg

This year’s Summit, which is traditionally organized by RUSSOFT, a non-commercial association of CIS software companies, and Fort Ross, a leading Russian marketing agency, together with their partners AT Software, Nokia Forum, Microsoft, D-Link, and some others, focused on establishing the place of Russian IT industry in the globalization process. The Summit opened with a plenary speech by Ilya Ponomarev, Chairman of the Technologies Sub-commission of State Duma, which covered innovative legislation to be enforced by the State in order to create favorable conditions for the development of IT business.

The two-day Summit offered a highly eventful agenda comprising plenary sessions, round table discussions, master classes, trainings, and B2B meetings. Among Summit participants there were top managers of the leading software companies, including Microsoft Russia Economy Lead, Luxoft Vice-president, Exigen Services EE President, AT Software board member, LISA Director, and many others.

Eleks Software representatives CEO Oleksiy Skrypnyk and COO Ruslan Zakharchenko had a chance to learn and analyze their colleagues’ experience in maintaining company’s turnover despite the increasing competition in IT sector, participate in trainings on attracting investments at early project stages as well as master classes dedicated to agile approaches to software development, promotion of in-house software products, and effective team management.

Overall, Software Development Summit 2008 provided a great opportunity to have fruitful discussions between IT companies of various sizes and take advantage of the experience shared by global IT stakeholders, to establish valuable contacts with potential partners and keep pace with recent trends in the turbulent world of informational technology.
