Endava wants to open new centers in Sibiu, Targu Mures and Timisoara

Because of the high demand of external services, the management of the local branch of the British group of computer services and solutions Endava considers opening new centers in Sibiu, Targu Mures and Timisoara. “At present we are analyzing various opportunities, the next location being established until the end of 2011,” said Marian Popa, managing director of Endava fo Central and Eastern Europe.

The company management wants to increase the office area it has in Romania from 2,500 to over 5,000 square meters. The company has contracted over 1,200 square meters in two business buildings in Iasi and Cluj Napoca.

The group is based in London and has four centers in Romania in Cluj, Bucharest and Iasi where about 300 people work. The Iasi subsidiary was inaugurated in December. The 2011 expansion as well as those in the years to come is in the context in which western markets are more and more interested in Romania because of the low cost of externalized IT services, of similar culture and geographic closeness.

Despite that the local IT industry continues to stagnate, but it will continue to maintain at that level or grow very little in the next two years, Popa added. The local branch of Endava IT services and solutions registered last year businesses of 5.8 million euro, on the rise by 58% against the previous year.

Among Endava Romania clients we find IMG Worldwide, Cision, ITV, NYSE Euronext, UBS, Transylvania Bank, BancPost, Aviva, Aegon Life, BRD Pension Fund.

For this year the company management wants to maintain the 2010 growth rate and to hire an additional 200 people until June.In the second half of 2010 Endava hired over 100 persons, but in the next months the management wants to organize recruiting events in Cluj Napoca, Iasi and Bucharest.

“Our plans for 2011 have in view the doubling of capacity both in Cluj, Iasi and Bucharest. In 2011 we will start building an operational unit in Bucharest, a city where Endava has had only a regional coordination and consulting center,” said the executive director of Endava Romania, Valentin Metzger.

Endava is an IT service group based in London and delivery centers in Great Britain, US, Romania and Moldova, with estimated business of 36 million euro this year, as against 27 million euro the previous year. The group has in present 600 employees, 300 of whom are in Romania.

The Endava growth was determined mainly but the new contracts signed with clients from Great Britain in the financial and online service fields.
