Endava receives the e-Finance award in Romania for fastest expansion in the market

For the fastest expansion achieved in Romania and in Eastern Europe, Endava has received  an award in the ‘e-Development’ category at the e-Finance Awards Gala.  In its 7th year, the annual awards of the Romanian “e-Finance” magazine gave credit to the IT and financial communities of Romania, by recognising top software providers, financial institutions, partnerships and distinguished managers in these sectors.

In 2009 Endava opened a consultancy division in Bucharest and the second delivery centre in Cluj for managed services operations, following two other office openings in Romania in the previous year: a regional coordination centre in Bucharest and an office in Iasi for software development.  Endava now has 600 employees in 8 offices in the UK, USA, Romania and Moldova.

On receiving the e-Finance award, Valentin Metzger, Managing Director Endava Romania, said: “We were able to keep a sustained growth in Romania during the downturn, due to our motivated team and a well balanced portfolio of customers, made of both UK and USA customers as well as local companies.”

Developing the operational base in Romania is part of the group’s plans for fast geographic expansion that will enable Endava to become an important player on the European IT market.  In 2009 Endava was recognised among the fastest growing technology companies in the UK and Europe being listed in Deloitte Technology Fast  50 UK, Deloitte Technology Fast  500 EMEA and The Sunday Times Tech Track 100.

John Cotterell, Endava’s Chief Executive, commented: “We have experienced extremely dynamic growth over the past few years. Our decision to invest in Eastern European delivery centers has enabled us to offer our customers a strong value proposition and this has driven our growth. We intend to engage with our customers for even larger projects so that by the end of 2011 we will have over 1000 employees in Eastern Europe.”
