Euroconstruct, one of the most important general building companies of Romania, a member of the Group “Maurizio Peruzzo Industry” controlled by Euroholding, is implementing Primavera project management system, whose unique representative in Romania is TotalSoft company.

One of the aims of this acquisition was the intention to cover a wider area of projects, including projects coming from public tenders, and subcontracting of works from building companies which are already using Primavera.

“Euroconstruct has wanted to invest in project management improvement. We have chosen Primavera to have a trump against our competitors, but also to provide quality and timely services to our clients,” says Mrs. Bianca Harnau, Head of the Schedule Department of Euroconstruct.

The system delivered by TotalSoft has been established by many contracting authorities as a standard both for carrying out the project management and for reporting with the subcontractors.

“Taking the international practice as a reference, more and more contracting authorities in Romania enforce in the tender books that the vendors to have clearly defined project management units and to use software specialized in this activity management. Primavera, with over 25 years of experience in this field, represents a standard,” says Bogdanel Budeanu, Manager of Primavera – Oracle Division, TotalSoft.
 
Besides this system, integrated with an application for estimates developed by TotalSoft, training services have also been provided for more user categories, who will manage the projects of the company in Timisoara. 

The pilot project, for which Euroconstruct will use Primavera project management system, is “Highway Timisoara – Arad”. As a subcontractor, Euroconstruct will build, within 12 months, 7 bridges and 8 small bridges amounting to a total value of EUR 3 million.     

By implementing the system provided by TotalSoft, Euroconstruct pursues to elaborate a standard work procedure to be applied to all projects, and allowing the efficient use of resources and the strict track of the budget.
