Expansion of customer logistics in Plastika

Plastika improves its customer logistics thanks to an extended DCIx solution and a TradeSync Integration Manager by Aimtec.

Plastika continues its successful cooperation with Aimtec. This time by extending their Warehouse Management Systemu DCIx with customer logistics. The new project also includes implementation of a TradeSync Integration Manager tool for electronic data interchange between Plastika and its clients. The main benefit for Plastika is covering all critical logistical processes including the provision of electronic data interchange with customers.

PLASTIKA a.s. in Kromeriz is a supplier of comprehensive plastic components for industrial products. It specialise in the manufacture of plastic parts for IT, automotive and electronics industries with a high level of auxiliary services. Key processes are injection moulding, nitrogen injection moulding, tampon and laser printing, ultrasonic welding, varnishing, hot stamping, assembly and testing.

B2B communication with TradeSync Integration Manager

With the increasing level of integration and complexity of Plastika’s products, demands for synchronisation of logistical processes are also growing. Plastika therefore needed to launch an electronic B2B communication with its customers Bosch, Continental Automotive, Eissmann, Faurecia, Grupo Antolin, Magna Slovteca or Schneider Electric, linking them to its own logistical processes. For this project, Plastika had selected a proven partner – Aimtec, experienced with logistics and production in an automotive supplier environment. Another reason for chosing Aimtec in particular, was the implementation of their own solution DCIx, which is developed and tailor-made to customer requirements. The long standing partnership with Axway, who offers TradeSync Integration Manager, one of the best tools for electronic communication on the market, has also played its role.

Linking TradeSync Integration Manager, DCIx and QI ERP

Utilising the TradeSync Integration Manager product will enable Plastika to process standard messages from its customers, receive long-term and short-term call-offs and to send out consignment notices in VDA and EDIFACT (VDA 4905, VDA4913, DELFOR, DESADV) formats. The main benefit of the interconnected TradeSync Integration Manager and DCIx solution, is the automatic generation and processing of incoming and outgoing messages, clear monitoring of order fluctuation and deviation, and printing of necessary documentation (labels, delivery notes). The link to DCIx therefore provides support for an effective material flow management, including ensured traceability.

Both solutions, DCIx and TradeSync Integration Manager will be integrated with the existing ERP system QI. The project was launched at the end of June and is expected to finish in October 2010.
