The First Certified IIBA Business Analysis Specialist in Ukraine!

Oleg Gontarenko, Business Analyst in Infopulse Ukraine, has become the first certified business analysis specialist in Ukraine. Thus, Ukraine has enlarged the list of the countries with certified IIBA business analysts.

“The latest studies by IT Outsourcing leading institutions and researchers show that Ukraine has become one of the most attractive and multi-promising outsourcing hubs in Eastern Europe. One of the reasons why Western companies are eager to choose IT outsourcing partner in Ukraine is an extensive IT talent pool in the country. And the first certified business analysis specialist in Ukraine is a good testimony of that fact”, — says Andrei Link, Marketing and Sales director of Infopulse Ukraine.

CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) business analyst certification is a world-known professional certification in business analysis. This certification is provided by International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).

International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) was founded in October, 2003, as an independent non-profit professional association, which is developing business analysis standards. In order to get certified, it is necessary to have an in-depth knowledge of business analysis processes and procedures as well as at least 5 years of proven work experience in this area.

“When you apply for the exam, you have to provide a detailed work experience description with references to those who can confirm it. Also, one of the pre-requisites is to take at least 21 hours of business analysis course in the past four years and to have two letters of recommendation. IIBA audits a filed application, and after its successful approval you can register for the exam.

The online exam took place in a specialized certification centre. It lasted for about 3.5 hours, covering 150 different questions”, comments Oleg Gontarenko.
