The 2011 GS100 survey highlighted some significant trends in IT outsourcing. Constrained IT budgets in 2010 led to cautious spending on technology projects. Contract restructurings overshadowed new scope projects. Significant amount of IT projects were put on hold. Meanwhile, disruptive forces such as cloud, utility-based models, and outcome-based pricing had begun to reshape the landscape.
