EXATEL S.A. has been honoured with the Telecommunication Golden Aerial Award in the category of Product of the Year 2010 – Solution for Business in recognition of its VPN MPLS data transmission network. The award presentation ceremony took place on March 24 this year during the Grand Gala accompanying the Telecommunication World Symposium held at the Hilton Hotel in Warsaw.

The chief objective of the Golden Aerial competition is to distinguish those people who have contributed to expanding telecommunications in Poland, promoting the most interesting products and solutions in telecommunications as well as fostering the development of Polish technologies. It has been organised for 12 years to date. The awards were created by Migut Media SA, which publishes the “Swiat Telekomunikacji” quarterly.

The awards and distinctions were granted in recognition of the most prestigious achievements in the telecommunications sector in Poland between March 2009 and the beginning of 2010 in the following categories: Phone of the Year, Product of the Year – Mobile Solutions for Business, Product of the Year – Station Solution for Business, Product of the Year – Solution for Operators, Service of the Year, Promotional Campaign of the Year, the most Promising Company of the Year, Company of the Year, Manager of the Year and Person of the Year.

EXATEL has received the award in recognition of its VPN MPLS data transmission network, a unique solution in the category Product of the Year 2010 – Solution for Business. Among other things, the jury took into consideration two biggest projects completed for the Ministry of Justice and the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture in 2009. The two implementations covered 327 and 325 locations respectively.

EXATEL SA has specialised in implementing VPN MPLS networks for many years. In 2002, it was the first company in Poland to create a network based on the modern MPLS technology that has since come to be regarded as one of the biggest in Poland. The company has successfully implemented a range of new projects for the most demanding clients, including the National Health Fund, the Office of Electronic Communications, the National Labour Inspectorate, the Supreme Chamber of Control, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Finance. EXATEL solutions are also utilised by a majority of entities operating in the financial-banking sector and also many other corporations conducting their business across Poland.
