IT distributors should enjoy some respite from what they see as excessive and drawn-out tax inspections since the Polish fiscal authorities declare to no longer perceive them as a sector of heightened risk, the daily Puls Biznesu writes citing industry representatives attending a meeting with Finance Ministry and tax administration officials.
Extra attention from tax inspectors has entailed worse treatment from insurers and banks: the former have cut liabilities limits, the latter raised financing costs.
ABC Data CEO Ilona Weiss hopes the change of attitude of the state organs will trigger a similar positive change in perception of the sector by insurers, she said.
Action CEO Piotr Bielinski remains skeptical as to the transformative effect of the meeting.
