Helios Orange Helps with the Construction of Land Communications and Telecommunication Infrastructure

The company SOVIS CZ, a.s., seated in Hradec Kralove and grouping in its portfolio daughter companies SOVIS s.r.o. and ARBOR s.r.o., has become another client of the Helios Orange information system. This group is predominantly engaged in the fields of the construction of land communication, hardened areas, parking lots, pavements, engineering buildings and telecommunication infrastructure for mobile and data operators.

The project of the implementation of the information system was simultaneously realized in the mother company SOVIS CZ, a.s. and in both the daughter companies SOVIS, s.r.o. and ARBOR, s.r.o. Originally there were different economic systems in all the companies, however they came to seem insufficient in the course of time, and this in view of the types and volumes of work executed by the companies. A number of related agendas had to be administered separately from the system and the main complication in managing and evaluating all the three companies consisted in the disunity of the systems in the companies.

Therefore the reason for the change decided by the corporate management in 2008 was the necessity to unify a maximum volume of the agenda within the whole group, the need to simplify the existing system, i.e. to cancel a maximum number of surrounding agendas outside the economic system, and to gain a faster accessibility of the needy data. The overall goal lay in getting a more flexible and elaborated system of corporate management as regards economic, financial, technical and administrative aspects. The principal requirements included the simplicity and comprehensiveness of the information system, above all in the fields of economy, orders and evaluation.

The selection of the new system was performed in three rounds, attended by three ERP producers. In conclusion the Helios Orange information system by LCS was declared the winner.

„On choosing the new system we took into account several factors,“ summarizes ing. Jan Stepnicka, SOVIS Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors. „Of the main relevance was for us the seat of the system?s producer, whereas LCS has a branch office directly in Hradec Kralove. Another significant criterion consisted in frexibility and helpful approach of the staff and also in their ability to become adapted to our needs. A very positive impression was also given by the qualifications and experience of Ms. Frydlova of the Hradec Kralove branch office in view of the implementation of the economic part, which is crucial and primary for us,“ adds Mr. Stepnicka.

The Contract on delivering the information system was signed by both the companies in September 2008, which was preceded by the realization of the Introductory study. Afterwards the implementation was started. The system was activated in the field of economy as of 1 January 2009, while a full completion of the implementation and the takeover of the system into a routine operation is scheduled for April 209. The delivered solution will cover these agendas: Economy, Business, Orders, CRM, Transporation, Wages, Managerial evaluation and Workflow. An SQL server and terminal server are also a part of the whole delivery by LCS.
