On December 1, IBA participated in the 2nd Software Engineering Forum for Students 2012 SEF.BY2Students-2012 as the event’s partner.

SEF.BY2Students is aimed at providing Belarusian students a possibility to learn more about modern information technologies and facilitating the process of career choice. The forum is one more chance for IT companies to demonstrate their employer advantages and to tell about opportunities for career development in the IT sector.

Organized by Infopark and High-Tech Park, the event included two sessions with presentations. At their booths, the participating companies delivered presentations, held discussions, and carried out plays for prizes. This year, more than 700 visitors attended the event.

At the forum, Alexander Derkach, Head of Mobile Systems and Technologies Department at IBA, spoke about the creative approach, and new trends and opportunities in the mobile development sector.

In addition, Derkach announced an interactive contest. The students were asked to predict what types of mobile applications would be successful in 2013. The contest was held at the IBA Minsk page in VK, a popular local social network. More than 100 users participated in the contest. Alexander Kurochkin, a third-year student of the BSU Faculty of Radio Physics and Computer Technologies was selected the winner and received a prize from IBA.
