IBA Gomel Park Joins Belarusian Silicon Valley

On May 7, the Belarusian High–Tech Park Supervisory Board approved the admission of six new companies to the High–Tech Park, the Belarus’ Silicon Valley. As a result, IBA Gomel Park, an affiliate of the IBA Gomel development center, became a registered member of the High–Tech Park.

IBA Gomel Park was founded in November, 2008 to contribute to the expansion of the export capacity of Belarus, create new jobs, and prevent the outflow of human resources from Belarus.

IBA Gomel Park offers a wide range of services including design, development, and maintenance of applied software for customers from the CIS, Western Europe, and the US.

IBA Gomel Park is the second IBA Group member to join the High–Tech Park. The first IBA Group member, IT Park, was founded in August, 2006 and became a resident of the High–Tech Park in February, 2007.

About High–Tech Park

The High Tech Park was created in September, 2005 to raise the competitive capacity of the Belarusian economy and its IT industry.

The Park’s activity is focused not only on the development of information and communication technologies (ICT) in Belarus but also on the export of these technologies. A special legal regime functions within the High–Tech Park. High–Tech Park residents receive a number of benefits and privileges as regards taxes, custom duties, insurance dues, offshore charges, and rent rates. The area of the Park is 50 hectares and it borders the territory of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
