On December 17, IBA and NETKOM conducted a specialized seminar entitled “Creation of business intelligence systems using IBM solutions”.

With representatives of financial institutions, production enterprises, and ministries in attendance, the workshop aimed to provide in-depth information about IBA’s solutions based on IBM Cognos.

Joint IBA and IBM EE/A presentation “IBM Cognos: financial analysis, planning and control of banking activity” made at Bank IT’09 was highly appreciated by the participants who demanded more detailed information on the topic.

Therefore, at the workshop NETKOM spoke on:

• Integration of organization data for their subsequent analysis using IBM software products
• Effectiveness of IBM Cognos BI-based intelligent systems

In addition, IBA presented its case studies to showcase implementation of BI systems.

In January 2010, representatives of IBA, IBM, and Belarusian banks are planning to hold a meeting to discuss implementation of BI systems.
