On November 17, IBA took part in the 4th international conference for quality assurance specialists SQADays 2008 that was held in Minsk, Belarus. The event was organized by Testing Laboratory SQALab, Russia.

The conference SQADays was aimed at creating a community of experts in testing and quality assurance.

In 2008, the event gathered more than 350 participants from Belarus, Czech Republic, Hungary, Russia, and Ukraine. The conferees discussed the following topics:

• Software testing
• Software quality assurance
• Management of software assurance processes
• Software testing and QA teams’ management.

Within the sections “Testing” and “Quality Assurance”, IBA delivered three presentations.

Aliaksei Yakimovich, Head of the IBA Testing Department, spoke on methods of functional testing optimization. Ivan Piletski, Deputy Chief of the IBA eBusiness Division, made a presentation on methods of database performance testing. Valery Kaziuminski, Head of the IBA Testing Laboratory, talked about compliance of software testing and evaluation with general criteria of IT security.
