On July 7, IBA took part in the awards ceremony of the contest Businessman 2009 as the event’s general partner.

Since 1996, the first Belarusian Business Journal “Delo (Vostok+Zapad)” (Business: East+West) has yearly conducted the contest Businessman of the Year. To award the most successful top executives who conduct their business in Belarus, the advisory committee of the journal nominates the laureates in 12 categories.

This year, the Belarusian businessmen, foreign guests, diplomats, representatives of Belarusian state-run public authorities, and journalists attended the event. At the ceremony, the laureates of Businessman 2009 were awarded with diplomas and prizes made by Belarusian sculptor Sergey Gumilevsky.

Sergei Levteev, IBA CEO, the prizewinner of the Businessman 2002 contest, congratulated the laureates.

Mr. Levteev comments: “IBA supports contests and events aimed at developing the Belarusian business, implementing promising ideas, mastering innovative technologies, and enhancing professional level of personnel. We are confident that the Belarusian market has a great potential. And we believe in strong, wealthy and prosperous Belarus.”
