IT Europa, a leading European IT publisher and market intelligence organization, announced the finalists of the European IT Excellence Awards 2011, the pan-European awards event for IT and telecommunication channels.

Sixty companies from 23 countries (51 from 16 countries in 2010) qualified for the finals. The finalists were selected by an independent panel of consultants and editors.

“The judges were impressed with the quality of all the entries and the obvious work that had gone into preparing them,” commented John Chapman, Editorial Director at IT Europa. “There has been tremendous enthusiasm from the channel for these awards and we were inundated with enquiries, ranging from requests for advice on how to make a good entry to emails of support for what we were doing with the event.”

The awards were categorized into three main groups, namely ISVs (Independent Software Vendors), Solution Providers, and Suppliers. The ISV categories were for software-based solutions for which the ISV had written the bulk of the solution itself. The Solution Provider categories were for complete solutions that included hardware, software, communications, and services.

The ISV group comprised seven categories. IBA Group applied in the categories Information Management and Relationship Management.
