From September 21 to September 23, IBA took part in Russian CIO Summit 2008 that was held in Moscow. IBA Group was a silver sponsor of the event.

The event is a good venue for experience exchange, study of IT innovations, and business contacts. Combining a conference, an exhibition and an informal socializing, Russian CIO Summit gathered IT executives and top managers of more than 150 enterprises of the CIS countries.

One of the summit’s key topics was the CIO role in ensuring company’s business continuity, including business insight, development strategy, and budgeting.

Mikhail Stepanov, IBA Rus Director, delivered a presentation of IBA Rus that participated in the event for the first time. Conferees also had a possibility to learn more about IBA products and solutions at the IBA booth.

According to Sergei Akoulich, IBA Business Development Director, Russian CIO Summit provides a unique possibility for IT CIOs to communicate informally, discuss topical issues, and find new ideas to solve pressing problems. Mr. Akoulich added that partaking in such events also helps us evaluate the needs of enterprises for innovative development, and thereafter offer more effective IT solutions.
